Reviving Main Street Entertainment in Battle Ground
As Battle Ground’s population surged, the city faced a noticeable gap—nowhere nearby to enjoy a night at the movies. At the request of the then-mayor and a city council member (who also happened to teach at Battle Ground High School), Prestige Development stepped in to help.
We developed the Gardner Center to meet the need for local entertainment and commercial services, anchoring it with the 17,800-square-foot Battle Ground Cinema. At the time, the closest movie theater was a 30-minute drive away—hardly convenient for a growing community.
Since opening in 2005, Battle Ground Cinema has become a beloved local destination. With luxury reclining seats, open captions, first-run films in Dolby Digital®, and some of the best popcorn around, it’s more than just a theater—it’s a gathering place with heart, run by a friendly, local team.
